1. Introduction
Voxica ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of Sogoni Group. We operate the Voxica platform at voxica.app, which provides AI-powered social media comment analysis and audience insights. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use our service. By using Voxica, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data We Access and Collect
When you use Voxica, we access and collect the following categories of data:
a) Account Information (via Google OAuth)
When you sign up or log in with Google, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google profile picture
b) YouTube Data (via YouTube Data API)
If you connect a YouTube account, we access:
- Your YouTube channel name, profile picture, and subscriber count
- A list of your uploaded videos (titles, thumbnails, timestamps, view/comment counts)
- Comments on your videos (comment text, author username, timestamp, like count)
c) Instagram Data (via Instagram Graph API)
If you connect an Instagram Business or Creator account, we access:
- Your Instagram username, profile picture, account type, and follower count
- A list of your media posts (captions, media type, thumbnails, timestamps, comment counts)
- Comments on your posts (comment text, author username, timestamp, like count)
d) Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by PayPal. We store your PayPal subscription ID and plan tier but do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or other financial credentials.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- Authentication: To create and manage your Voxica account via Google OAuth.
- Comment Analysis: To perform AI-powered sentiment analysis on comments from your Instagram and YouTube posts. Comments are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing.
- Dashboard & Insights: To display your account information, post analytics, sentiment breakdowns, top commenters, and engagement trends in your private dashboard.
- Weekly Recap Emails: To send you a summary of your comment activity and sentiment trends via Resend.
- Public Creator Profile: If you opt in, to display aggregated (non-personal) analytics on a public profile page you can share with brands and collaborators.
- Subscription Management: To manage your plan tier, usage limits, and billing status via PayPal.
- Service Improvement: To improve the accuracy and reliability of our analytics features based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party service providers, solely to operate the Voxica platform:
- Anthropic (Claude API): Comment text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for sentiment analysis. Anthropic processes data according to their privacy policy. No personally identifiable user account data is sent — only comment text and associated metadata.
- Neon (Database): Your account data, connected platform data, and analyzed results are stored in a Neon serverless PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest.
- Resend (Email): Your name and email address are shared with Resend to deliver transactional emails (welcome, weekly recaps, subscription updates, account deletion confirmations).
- PayPal: Subscription and billing interactions are processed through PayPal. We do not share your social media data with PayPal.
- Vercel (Hosting): Our application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes HTTP requests but does not have direct access to your stored data.
We do not share Google user data with any other third parties beyond the services listed above.
5. Data Storage and Protection
We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:
- All data is stored in a Neon serverless PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL).
- OAuth access tokens for Instagram and YouTube are stored securely and are only used to fetch data from the respective platforms on your behalf.
- All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.
- Access to production databases and infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely through Google OAuth.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Connected platform data: Retained until you disconnect the platform or delete your account.
- Analyzed comments and insights: Retained until you delete your account.
- OAuth tokens: Revoked and deleted when you disconnect a platform or delete your account.
How to delete your data:
- You can delete your entire account and all associated data from Dashboard > Settings > Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.
- Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our database, including: your profile, connected accounts, all analyzed posts and comments, sentiment data, and subscription records.
- If you have an active paid subscription, it will be cancelled automatically upon account deletion.
- You may also contact us at privacy@voxica.app to request data deletion.
7. Google API Services Compliance
Voxica's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only request access to Google user data that is necessary for the features described in this policy.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising or to serve ads.
- We do not sell Google user data to third parties.
- We do not use Google user data for purposes unrelated to the core functionality of Voxica.
- We allow users to revoke access and delete their data at any time.
8. Third-Party Services
Voxica integrates with the following third-party APIs and services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Privacy Policy (Google OAuth, YouTube Data API)
- Meta Privacy Policy (Instagram Graph API)
- Anthropic Privacy Policy (Claude AI)
- PayPal Privacy Policy
- Resend Privacy Policy
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (see Section 6 above)
- Disconnect your Instagram or YouTube accounts at any time from your dashboard
- Revoke Google OAuth access from your Google Account permissions page
- Opt out of weekly recap emails from your dashboard settings
10. Children's Privacy
Voxica is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Voxica after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
